Sign Up for FINA Worlds and Spring Nationals

Hi Divers,
The deadline is rapidly approaching to sign up for the FINA Masters World Championships in Perth, Australia next month: the deadline for completed registrations is this Sunday, March 23, and there are some tricks to registering (like having a photo no larger than 200 pixels in any dimension...). If you're planning to attend, it's time to get it done! Also, please let me know if you're planning to go so I have some idea of who will be competing; we may not get a list back from the meet director for awhile -- and certainly contact me if you have any questions or need any assistance that I might be able to provide.
We have also opened registration on Divemeets.com for Masters Spring Nationals, May 17-19 at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. If you have not yet used Divemeets you'll need to create an account there first, and of course be registered with USA Diving, then you can sign up for the meet and enter your dive lists (you can change your dives at any time, even on the board, in U.S. Masters competition, so don't let fear of commitment stop you!). Ed Richmond and USA Diving are finalizing our meet hotel, so travel information should be available on the website at http://www.mastersdiving.com sometime in the next week or so. Also, if you have any business for the General Meeting at Spring Nationals, please let me or Rules Chair David Cotton know as soon as possible.
Catherine Capelle-Dickman has organized a whitewater rafting trip during the meet for friends and family (or for anyone not planning to compete Saturday: "Catherine Capelle Dickman has done 16 rivers east of the Mississippi in a raft or a kayak and recommends for: friends, family, significant others, etc., on Saturday, 5/17 @ 10 a.m., White Water Rafting down the Ocoee River in Cleveland TN. It's only 90 miles from Knoxville, with plenty of time to make it back for some diving and to the banquet. Please make your $45/person [minimum age is 14] reservation for the Ocoee and we’ll see you there… http://www.noc.com/Rafting/Ocoee 888-905-7238. The Ocoee is my favorite and is tons of fun, safe, and only takes 1.5 hours to run  One of it's best features is you can drive along most of it and there's a bridge where spectators can watch 2 different rapids."
There is also the possibility of a Tuesday golf tournament following the meet -- please let me know if you'd be interested.
Beyond that, block your calendars for Summer Nationals, August 22-24 at the Woodlands, and please add your names to the interest list for diving at the (October) 2009 World Masters Games in Sydney, Australia!
